PTA Committee Chairs work with a team to coordinate and manage various PTA events and services. KY Kids Day  (September)
This committee develops and implements a program that communicates to each Meadowthorpe student that he or she is a special and unique individual. KY PTA founded this program held annually each fall. 

Fall Festival (October)

Reflections  (November)
This committee promotes and coordinates participation in this national PTA cultural arts program.  

Heritage Night  (Winter)
This committee coordinates the annual MES international festival that celebrates the diversity of the students through cultural foods potluck, cultural artwork, and cultural performances by students and community members.

Field Day and Walk-A-Thon (Spring)
This committee assists and helps coordinate Field Day under the direction of the PE teacher.  They also organize a 1 mile walk around the Meadowthorpe neighborhood that raises funds for physical education equipment.  

Teacher Appreciation Week  (May)
This committee organizes a week-long teacher appreciation event in the spring. This involves special food and gifts for the teachers. This is PTA funded. 

Family Resource Center Liaison  (All Year)
Volunteer (s) assist the MES Family Resource Center Coordinator in activities, programs, and services offered by the FRC.

Canned Food Drive
This committee organizes MES participation in the annual Kids Helping Kids Public Schools Food Drive, which supports God’s Pantry Food Bank. The food drive is held each October.

Box Tops 
Coordinates Box Tops fundraising program; cut and count Box Tops for Education.

PTA 5K Liaison
This committee coordinates MES participation in the annual 16th District PTA 5K that is held December 4th.
